SC Symphony Band
The Sheridan College Symphony Band is comprised of 45 - 60 musicians drawn from both the SC student body as well as experienced local community musicians. This ensemble performs classic and contemporary wind band literature. The interaction of students and adult musicians of all ages, a number of whom are music educators and professional musicians, creates a vibrant and exciting music-making atmosphere in the SC Wind Ensemble. It is a true musical "community"!

SC Jazz Ensemble & Jazztet
The Sheridan College Jazz Ensemble is our large jazz ensemble of 18-22 student and community musicians. We perform compositions and arrangements of classic Big Band works as well as explore contemporary pieces for the modern jazz orchestra.
The SC Jazztet is our student small ensemble that rehearses and performs music from the jazz combo/"small band" tradition. This ensemble affords the players numerous opportunities to begin to learn important small group jazz repertoire and vocabulary and develop skill as improvisers. A number of students have composed or arranged original works for the Jazztet as well.
